Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Teaching Assistant at Puriton Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.Puriton Primary School can be found in the heart of the village of Puriton, just a few minutes from J23 of the M5 in Somerset. We currently have 199 children on roll across 7 classes. The school benefits from enthusiastic, engaged learners who are supported by a strong, collaborative and committed team. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school which gives children a great start to their education. Our children are kind and respectful towards others and enjoy coming to school. We have strong links with parents, governors and the wider community, recognising the value that this brings to our children and their education. Futura Learning Partnership is a partnership of schools which span 5 local authority areas: Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Working together to provide a high quality educational experience for all students in their care and be a truly inclusive provider of 3-18 education in the area. We are a mixed Multi Academy Trust, comprising 6 secondary, 21 primary and a special school. We work in partnership with the Diocese of Bath and Wells, which brings considerable benefit to all our schools.
We are looking for a clerk to minute our Local Governance Committee (LGC) meetings at Puriton Primary school. Experience is not necessary, but basic IT, a good standard of written English, and administration skills will be required.
Full training and support is provided, and you will be part of a trust wide clerking team.

This post is also suitable for hybrid working, with the administrative work outside of meetings able to be undertaken from home. Although hours are to be worked flexibly, the vast majority of work will take place in term time (around the six annual AGC meetings per school). For comparison purposes, the 97 hours per year average out to about 2.5 hours/week in term time.
